Elastic Path Commerce 6.2
Robust Ecommerce Framework Based on Open Source Components
January 14, 2010
By: Mitchell Kramer

Executive Summary:
Elastic Path Commerce Release 6.2 is the current version of the ecommerce software platform offering of Elastic Path Commerce, a privately held Vancouver, BC software supplier and ecommerce outsourcer. To date, 200 customer organizations have implemented ecommerce sites based on Elastic Path Commerce. We recommend Elastic Path Commerce to large organizations or organizations with significant IT resources that have specialized ecommerce requirements that need heavy customization and deep integration. While Elastic Path Commerce is as much a framework of tools and technologies as it is a platform, we think that you’ll be surprised at the richness and completeness of its out-of-the-box capabilities and the comprehensiveness of the tools that administrators and merchandisers can use to configure, customize, deploy, and manage ecommerce sites. Except for Web content development, you may not need developers at all to implement and deploy a reasonably sophisticated ecommerce site.
