Executive Summary:
Throughout 2005, we described foundational IT strategies for an adaptive architecture. These strategies included: service-oriented architecture (SOA), event-driven architecture (EDA), process-based architecture, federated information, enterprise integration, and open source adoption. At the start of 2006, as our IT readers are formulating their hiring plans and professional development plans, we highlight a critical role for 2006: the enterprise architect.
